HSTAT PARENT COORDINATOR GREETING
Dear Families,
We are excited to welcome you to the High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology! My name is Erica Valentin, and I am honored to serve as the Parent Coordinator at HSTAT. HSTAT is a high school of choice, and we take pride in our outstanding statistics for academic excellence. It is my goal to support and encourage a positive relationship between families and our school. As a parent of a NYCDOE student, I understand the importance of providing parents with the information, support, tools, and resources they need to help their child thrive.
As an HSTAT parent, you automatically become a member of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Our PTA meetings are held once a month, via ZOOM. In these meetings, we provide valuable information for communication and collaboration between parents and the school community. We strongly encourage you to participate, to stay active and be involved. Your opinions, questions, suggestions, and concerns are valuable to us. Please visit https://www.hstat.org/monthly_pta_zoom_meetings on meeting dates to participate. In addition, we also offer informative workshops for our families that cover a wide range of topics, including study skills, mental health awareness and college related information.
On behalf of our dedicated Principal, Ms. Xhenete Shepard, her outstanding administrative staff, our PTA Executive Team and the entire HSTAT community, we hope that your child’s years at our school are filled with joy and accomplishment.
Please feel free to contact me at: EValentin7@schools.nyc.gov or 718-759-3427.
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Erica L. Valentin
Parent Coordinator
