Admissions

Message to Prospective Students

Dear New York City Parents, Grandparents, and Guardians,

We will be offering virtual tours this fall for prospective students interested in the High School of Telecommunication Arts and Technology (HSTAT). Stay tuned for more details.

Our tours are booked in advance on-line at HSTAT.org. If a date that you choose does not come up on the screen, that will mean that the tour is already filled to capacity and you will need to choose another tour date.

We sincerely recommend that you attend with your child since it is your child who will spend four years in high school and we hope he/she will be happy where he/she is going. Please choose a date that does not conflict with his/her classwork or testing schedule. You are welcome to take notes if needed, and there will be time for you to ask questions.

Thank you for your interest in our school.

All the Best,

Barbara Yarshevitz
HSTAT Parent Coordinator

Applying to HSTAT

Hard work is the key to admission at HSTAT. As an Educational Option school, we accept students through the Department of Education’s application procedure. Half of the entering class is randomly selected by the DOE. Our admissions committee selects the other half by reviewing grades, attendance and guidance recommendations.
